Hi, I’m Lou
Hi, my name is Louise Colyer but many people call me Lou. I am a local artist and teaching assistant who loves nothing more than being creative! I have loved art since I can remember and it has always been my biggest passion. I never feel happier than when I have a paintbrush or pencil in my hand! I am excited to take the skills and knowledge I have and help to teach those at Paint Make Create to unlock their own potential.
My own experience…
Over the years I have created a number of pieces including a series on the West Pier, my own innovative newspaper custom prints and a range of commissions. I have painted a number of school murals too, some of which you probably might recognise!
As well as being an artist I am also a teaching assistant meaning I have the necessary experience and aptitude to gently guide and encourage my students at Paint Make Create to reach their full potential. Within my job I lead dedicated art sessions each week and am excited to work after school to help develop pupils art skills and teach them a wide range of different medias to work in!
